NVR never a urgent service

Bangladesh origin foreign nationals (except SAARC countries) are eligible to obtain NVR in their foreign passports to visit Bangladesh. Their spouse and children are also eligible for this endorsement, which allows the holder multiple entries into Bangladesh with unlimited duration of stay within the validity of the passport. Citizens other then the Austria/EU must submit the proof of residence in the Austria for the endorsement. However, the authority reserves the right to reject any application at any time without ascertaining any reason.

NVR by Post:

You may send your NVR application by post along with passport and all other required documents mentioned in your respective NVR category and a self address written prepaid envelope. In order to obtain NVR by post, you must pay the NVR fee by postal order or bank draft in favour of Bangladesh Embassy and Permanent Mission, Austria and allow at least 07 (seven) working days after receiving the post.

You may pay the NVR fees at the counter of the consular section of Bangladesh Embassy and Permanent Mission by

  • Debit/Credit card or
  • Postal order (addressed to Bangladesh Embassy and Permanent Mission, Austria) or
  • Bank draft (addressed to Bangladesh Embassy and Permanent Mission, Austria)

Cash or personal check is not accepted. The NVR Fee is Non-refundable even if the visa is not issued.



i) Bangladeshi-Austria/EU/other nationals
  • Duly filled in online NVR application form;
  • Recent passport size colour photo- 1(one) copy;
  • Austria/EU Passport (valid at least for six months) with photocopy of photo page;
  • Valid or expired Bangladesh Passport including photocopy (MRP’s photo page/Hand written passport’s pages 1–5)
    or
    Bangladeshi Citizenship Certificate issued from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Bangladesh and attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh including photocopy;
    or
    Digital Birth Certificate (17 Digit Numbers) issued by the competent authority in Bangladesh including photocopy;
  • Deed poll counter signed by Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) in case of name change in any document from the previous one including photocopy.
ii) Foreign Spouse of Bangladeshi or Bangladeshi-Austria/European/other nationals
  • Duly filled in online NVR application form;
  • Recent passport size color photo- 1(one) copy;
  • Applicant’s Austria/EU Passport (valid at least for six months) with photocopy of photo page;
  • Spouse’s Valid Bangladesh Passport including photocopy (MRP’s photo page/Hand written passport’s pages 1–5)
    or
    Spouse’s Valid Austria/EU Passport having NVR with photocopy of NVR and photo page;
  • Bangladeshi original Marriage Certificate attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh including photocopy
    or
    Austria/EU Original Marriage Certificate countersigned by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) including photocopy
  • Deed poll counter signed by Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) in case of name change in any document from the previous one including photocopy.
  • An interview of the married couple at Bangladesh Embassy and Permanent Mission Austria.
iii) Children of Bangladeshi or Bangladeshi-Austria/European/ other nationals (not born in Bangladesh)
  • Duly filled in online NVR application form;
  • Recent passport size color photo- 1(one) copy;
  • Austria/EU Passport (valid for at least six months) with photocopy of photo page;
  • Birth certificates showing parents’ name including photocopy;
  • Father’s or mother’s valid or expired Bangladesh Passport including photocopy (MRP’s photo page/Hand written passport’s pages 1–5)
    or
    Father’s or mother’s Austria/EU Passport having NVR with photocopy of NVR and photo page;
  • Deed poll counter signed by Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) in case of name change in any document from the previous one including photocopy.
For every application of any kind of visa including NVR, the Embassy takes three (03) working hours to process and deliver the visa.
Documents Preparation

All applicants are requested to visit visa section of this website to know the visa category. After that please select the documents requirement section of your respective visa category then arrange all the required supporting documents for visa application.

Before coming to consular section of Bangladesh Embassy and Permanent Mission Austria to submit your application, all applicants are requested to ensure:

  • Original passport for at least 06 months with minimum of two blank pages.
  • Two (02) recent passport size photographs with white background.
  • All the supporting documents as mentioned in your respective visa category.
Payment for Application

You may pay the visa fees at the counter of the consular section of Bangladesh Embassy and Permanent Mission by

  • Debit/Credit card or
  • Postal order (addressed to Bangladesh Embassy and Permanent Mission, Austria) or
  • Bank draft (addressed to Bangladesh Embassy and Permanent Mission, Austria)
After submission and Collection 

Collection

Please collect your passport from the Counter, Consular Wing, Bangladesh Embassy and Permanent Mission Austria on mentioned date in your payment slip.

Delivery time for visa: Monday to Friday: 09.00 – 17.00, except Holiday list 2020

Please note that the validity of the visa begins from the date of issue by the Embassy and Permanent Mission of Bangladesh and not from the date of travel on your application form.

Important Notice:

Once the Bangladesh visa has been granted, then a printed copy of visa sticker will be attached on an entire page in your passport. Please check the details carefully for any spelling mistakes and or validity etc. as marked below:

  • Your Surname (Last Name) as stated in your Passport.
  • Your Name (Given Name) including Middle Name, if any, as given in the Passport.
  • Passport Number as in Passport.
  • Correct Photographs.
  • Visa Type: i.e. T = Tourist, B = Business, X = Entry.
  • Number of Entries: Multiple, Double, or Single.
  • Date of Issue.
  • Date of Expiration.
